What stays on your phone
Everything a report is made of is kept on the device and nowhere else:
- The photographs you take of each item.
- The property address, the inspector's name, and the name of whoever receives the report.
- Every area, item, condition rating, cleanliness rating, and note you record.
- The finished PDF, until you choose to send it.
They stay until you delete them, use Delete history and choices in Settings, or delete the app. When you send a report, you choose who receives it and by what means; from that point the copy you sent is in their hands, not ours.
What leaves your phone
Three things, and none of them is the report:
- Your app store (Apple on iPhone, Google Play on Android) receives and returns product details, introductory-offer eligibility, and purchase, renewal, expiration, refund, and restore data.
- RevenueCat receives an anonymous App User ID, product identifiers, store transaction data, and entitlement state, so plans load, access is recognised, and purchases can be restored after a reinstall.
- PostHog receives a fixed list of named events describing how the app itself is used - that the app started, that a guide step was seen, that the paywall was shown, that a purchase started or finished, that a report was requested or produced, that history was opened. Each event carries an anonymous identifier and, for the guide steps only, which step it was.
The anonymous identifiers are not your name, your email, or your store account.
The address button
On the screen that asks for the property, there is a control reading Use where I am. It is optional. Nothing happens until you press it, and you can always type the address instead.
When you press it, your phone asks your permission. If you give it, the app reads your position once and asks the phone's own map service (Apple on iPhone, Google on Android) to turn that position into a street address. That service receives the coordinate to answer that one question; Articraftor never receives it, and the app stores no coordinate at any point.
What is kept is the text that service returns, in the address field of your report, on this phone, where you can edit or delete it like anything else you typed.
What we never send
- Your photographs, property addresses, inspector or recipient names, item notes, condition ratings, or finished reports.
- Your store account email or name, payment-card details, contacts, or advertising identifier.
- Your location, to us. Nothing about where you are reaches Articraftor, and location lookup from your network address is switched off both in the app and on the analytics project, which is set to discard client IP data. What the address button does is described above.
- Screen recordings or session replays. Nothing records what is on your screen.
Deleting your data
Settings includes Delete history and choices, which removes every walk, every report, every photograph, and the app's local state on that device, and tells you when it is done. It cannot delete your app store's transaction records, which Apple or Google keep under their own policy, nor a report you have already sent to somebody else.

Children
Inspection Report is a tool for people who inspect property for work, and is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
