What stays on your phone
Everything a report is made of is kept on the device and nowhere else:
- The photos you add to each day.
- The site name and the name of whoever receives the report.
- Every entry line, time, crew count, hours value, and weather line you record.
- Every saved day and its report page.
They stay until you delete them, use Delete history and choices in Settings, or delete the app. When you send a report, the app makes a PDF of that page and opens the share sheet; you choose who receives it and by what means. From that point the copy you sent is in their hands, not ours.
What leaves your phone
Three things, and none of them is the report:
- Apple receives and returns StoreKit product details and purchase, renewal, expiration, refund, and restore data.
- RevenueCat receives an anonymous App User ID, product identifiers, Apple transaction data, and entitlement state, so plans load, access is recognised, and purchases can be restored after a reinstall.
- PostHog receives a fixed list of named events describing how the app itself is used - that the app started, that a guide step was seen, that the paywall was shown, that a purchase started or finished, that a report was made or sent. Each event carries an anonymous identifier.
The anonymous identifiers are not your name, your email, or your Apple Account.
What we never send
- Your photos, site names, recipient names, entry lines, crew counts, hours, weather lines, or finished reports.
- Your Apple Account email or name, payment-card details, contacts, or advertising identifier.
- Your location. The app never asks for it. The weather line is typed by you, never fetched. The analytics project is set to discard client IP data.
- Screen recordings or session replays. Nothing records what is on your screen.
Working offline
The whole day works with no signal: adding photos and lines, the crew, hours, and weather, and making the report PDF. The only steps that use the network are loading plans to buy, and whatever channel you yourself choose in the share sheet.
Deleting your data
Settings includes Delete history and choices, which removes every site, every day, every entry, every photo, and the app's local state on that device, and tells you when it is done. It cannot delete Apple's transaction records, which Apple keeps under its own policy, nor a report you have already sent to somebody else.

Children
Daily Construction Log is a tool for people who report construction work for a living, and is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
